Cool concept - considered Ronin Ambushers from TA? Scout keyword for some of your actions and it straightens itself...

I have considered it but it didn't quite gel so much as I thought it would. Plus with 100% of the deck entirely made of scouts, I have scouts a plenty to perform stuff. I'm going to ramp up the swarm concept by fitting in the final copy of Heart of Rokugan somewhere. Now if only I know what to cut. hmmm.... Also looking at Uji's Saboteurs and some other TA cards to fit in, but not sure if they'll make it. Still needs more playtesting.

cool - also, I've had success with Ambush tactics. RA5 + eject is good in scouts

Some minor (and painful) changes. I really like Disrupting Communications but the cost of bowing someone is really expensive nowadays.
-2 Disrupting Communications, +1 Heart of Rokugan
Also, for more tempo gain:
-2 Back to the Front, +2 Know No Fear
This brought the Fate deck size down to 40, which is good, because the draw consistency is better. And...
-2 Surrounded! +2 Ambush Tactics
Because drawing Surrounded! without a range personality sucks. No Hiding Place is on the verge of coming off or staying on at the moment.

A firm believer of Reckless Rush. You can use that instead of no hiding place.

Had a few tests:
Reckless Rush: Brilliant! A perceived "lost" tempo and it deals with pesky attachments you don't wanna see. Minor jiggle with the "card without attachments" restriction but that's nothing new.
Ambush Tactics: Okay in some situations. But ranged attacks have really showed their limitations in some situations. Ejecting is a cool tech though, but only in a losing battle. If this card were to eject while still straightened, it would've given Retribution more mileage and I seriously would put it in there without thinking too much. Still on the fence.
Disrupting Communications: Yeah, I snubbed this before, but the cost of bowing is justified because it can bow ANY card without restrictions and it cuts down the options your opponent will have in his hand. Come to think of it, I think it's pretty cool.
No Hiding Place: Still on and off. It's useless in some situations, but useful when you have to kill pesky dudes like Jin-kuen and Tsujiken at home causing indirect damage to your forces, which in turn can be a huge swing for the game to be in your favour.
Surrounded!: A cool recon to feed more recon action effects, but it's out for good. Good for a range-centric scout build but this deck isn't one.

Sounds like some good changes - I like that not all the scout decks play the same. Have you tried Two Fronts?

No I haven't. But I see where you're going with it. Going to give it a quick whirl and find out Edit: If there's any candidate that can be slotted out to include Two Fronts, it'd be Ancient Feud I reckon. This works very nice with HFD

Well, I crashed and burned with this deck in Kotei Ironically, if I didn't make any changes in my first post, I would've scored better Oh well.

Back to the Front. It would've wrecked all the spider ninja strongholds I was up against
