Hi! I'm new here and I just discovered this site. I wanted to share my dueling deck that I've retrofitted to the bushi format recently. I'm wondering what cards that's bushi legal can help with card draw? I might have missed something. EE-legal. Comments welcome The Aerie

Very interesting deck! Thanks for sharing. For card draw you already have more than most Bushi decks with your clan virtue but I don't see the crane clan holding from the gempukku starters. That is also great card draw and should be an auto include for Bushi decks, IMO.

Oh! Right, my bad. Thanks for pointing it out I'm going to see if I can procure the Daidoji Marketplace from a guy who bought the gempukku starter. It's definitely a much needed addition. Thanks!

Okay, slight change to the lineup: The Aerie
Border Keep Bamboo Harvester
Doji Makoto x1 Doji Shigeyuki x3 Doji Genshin x3 Kakita Kenta x3 Kakita Yusugi x3 Takayuki x3 Doji Mitsuru x3 Asahina Keigo x3 Kakita Gonji x3
Marketplace x3 Prosperous Village x3 Small Farm x3
Daidoji Marketplace x1 Tranquil Garden x2 Akuma’s Power x1 Formal Apology x1 Wisdom Gained x1 The Courtesy of the Crane x3 An Insult Answered x1 Steel on Steel x3 Spirit of the Duelist x3 The Cycle of Vengeance x2 String of Victories x2 Of One Instant x3 Indecision x2 Know no Fear x2 Superior Opponent x2
Ceaseless Vigil x2
Shamsir x3 A Simple Yari x2 Unparalled Sword x3 Reserve Weapon x2
Ring of Earth x1 Ring of Water x1 Ring of the Void x1 Ring of Fire x1 Ring of Air x1
Cut off a bit of fat and tightened the focus a bit to be more durable in battle. I'm tempted to put in the new Doji Iza in place of Kenta but Kenta has his uses, even though it's slow to cash in (usually after the Aerie duel). Also added a couple of Ceaseless Vigil to take advantage of Yusugi, might as well since he's cute, fluffy and utterly expendable

Tried the deck out for a spin and it lacked a finisher. The final province is normally out of my reach by a couple of force or so. The deck also needed some more lethal answers and more mobility to answer threats in short notice.
Some changes to the deck above:
-1 Formal Apology, + Offering Reverence (maybe I should retain, dishonor matchups give this deck a headache). -1 Kakita Gonji, +1 Doji's Guidance xp (for reusing Courtesy of the Crane). -1 Tranquil Garden, +1 Falling Rain Dojo
-2 Reserve Weapon, +2 Hidden Defenses -2 Ceaseless Vigil, -2 Superior Opponent, -1 An Insult Answered, -1 Spirit of the Duelist +3 Brothers in Battle, +2 In the Heart of Battle, +1 Indecision (streamlining the deck and giving more options).
Other cards that have been given considerations: Reckless Rush, Siege Volley.
More change once TA hits the shelf, I reckon. But possibly enough time to test out for a couple more iterations at most because my Kotei is coming up fast.

Siege Volley won't work being from FL. Good changes though, Have enough samurai to run Revenge? Seems pretty good.

There's 18 samurai in the deck. Still mixing and matching stuff, Revenge included as well. Balancing this deck is like a trip wire act. I know there's a sweet spot somewhere but I just couldn't find it yet.

Still couldn't find the space for any TA cards yet, or even if it needs it. But here's the latest draft of the deck:
The Aerie
Border Keep Bamboo Harvester
Doji Makoto x1 Doji Shigeyuki x3 Doji Genshin x3 Kakita Kenta x3 Kakita Yusugi x3 Takayuki x3 Doji Mitsuru x3 Asahina Keigo x3 Kakita Gonji x2
Marketplace x3 Prosperous Village x3 Small Farm x3 Daidoji Marketplace x1 Tranquil Garden x1
Akuma’s Power x1 Doji's Guidance xp x1
Formal Apology x1 Wisdom Gained x1 Offering Reverence x1
The Courtesy of the Crane x3 Steel on Steel x3 Spirit of the Duelist x2 The Cycle of Vengeance x3 String of Victories x2 Of One Instant x3 Indecision x2 Back to the Front x2 Revenge x2 Brothers in Battle x2
Shamsir x3 A Simple Yari x3 Unparalled Sword x3 Tsuruchi Daikyu x2
Ring of Earth x1 Ring of Water x1 Ring of the Void x1 Ring of Fire x1 Ring of Air x1
It's more in your face now, thanks to the daikyu. Also it is now less vulnerable against send homes, which is one of the deck's glaring weakness. And that tiny splash of Revenge really adds more options.

With as many Samurai as you can field, I'm shocked you're not running Know No Fear.
