Working on a Ninja deck for kicks. While my AL deck will see most of my Bushi play this arc I want something fun to mess around with on occasion. I tried the Towers of the Yogo and that new redirect box but in this format I think printed kill on the box trumps. Still a work in progress - Mostly done with v1.0 but I marked the cards I'm actively looking to cut and replace. The Otoro Estate Border Keep Bamboo Harvesters

Amusingly, I have been looking through all the Ninja stuff I've got and decided "WTF, might as well build a Bushi deck out of it". So I was pleased to see you'd done this. I think you really want to make room for Small Farm in your holdings, with so many guys that are basically box+1 on the cheap. Archery Range is a good choice to include with the ranged attacks. I agree on selection of Stronghold - but moreso for the ability to choose the province that will hurt the most. For this reason, Hawado XP2 is a good choice - look at their provinces, use him to discard something juicy, then attack whatever else you don't want them to get. Works nicely with Silent Terror and even Aramoro's Promise as well. Have you considered Kazutoshi? The increased HR should slow down just about every deck. Sadly, I traded away my 2 Nobus so I'll have to find a replacement for them. For followers, do you think the Apprentice Shinobi are a better choice than the Water Spider Adept? I guess it comes down to: are you expecting to use more than two Ninja actions in each battle? It's probably the case. Ninja Guards might be good too, since at the very least they are a 2F follower - and more likely up to 5.

Yes about Shinobi. It's always 3F just from using the box abilities. Usually gets up to 5-6F. Updated with Gempukku goodies

I'd take out the Apprentice Shinobi and replace them with Goju Kaxt. A follower that becomes a bigger personality on death is always good - and the +1F to all other Ninja in the army is HUGE.
Shosureo Tanihara is a shoe-in (now I know what I'll put in to replace the Nobus I don't have!) and Touch of the Night should find a place, too.

Yeah maybe on the Kaxt? I am really fond of Apprentice Shinobi for what it costs. Kaxt really messes with my gold tempo at 6G.
Tanihara is fantastic, yes.

Yeah, I haven't played this in a while and when I update it (if I update it, have really only been playing Mantis) I'll def look into the boat!
