I really want to play Raid in some format and since my EE competition deck is Kitsune I figure Bushi is perfect.
Going for agro control here...

So after some putzing around with this deck I'm finding a few things that I really like and a few that I'm rather 'meh' about. Gold scheme seems to be supporting the items well. I need a 3rd Unparalleled Sword for sure.
Akuhiko is kind of meh. He's not bad and can attach on the fly, but not being able to raid without bowing hurts too much I think. It's fine later in the game but early on when I might only have a body or two... not so much. I'm hoping to get another non-rare magistrate with at least a mediocre printed action in Torn Asunder so I can replace him. With Hama, Singh, and Kanaye as rares already we're due for another c/uc non unique mag. Also, Firm Censure seems better than I remember it, but that might be because I've never tried it out of AL before.
Also, am considering Stuck in Rokugan. Getting rid of Celestials or freeing up gold after attaching weapons seems good...

Proxied the new port that gives some dynasty flip manipulation... will def replace a farmers market with one of them.

Captured Convict is a TSE card. Was it in a starter deck at some point? Someone took down the list of cards that were reprinted in SoD, I hope you can see why it's needed.

So is Kanahashi and Seltered Port. I have the list saved for a master reference sticky I'm putting together with all that jazz.

Cards to consider: A Fugitive Apprehended, Greasing the Wheels, The Light of Justice. (Note that you can Grease your own personality and send him home, or straighten him).

Grease is already in as a 3x. Considered LoJ but I like Courage of the Mantis more, or even Indecision, don't like Fugitive much.

Ah - I see that I overlooked Grease in your list.
As for Fugitive? Giving someone's uber-personality a GC of 0 can be a good prelude to Hiromi blowing it up. Not sure if it's worth taking something else out for it, but it seems the whole idea behind the personality base is making enemies cheaper so that you can do unto them.

If it went through attachments, sure. Really only Gold and Steel would benefit from the reduction as 95% of what is out there is already killable by Hiromi. Plus Kanahashi lowers GC as well. I did update with V2. Some minor changes to balance the control and the battle actions.

Played this for a few games tonight against a standard EE PoV monk deck... Performed great. Between Firm Censure and Iwashi I had solid control all game every game. Very happy with this so far.

I like the Stuck in Rokugan idea I haven't slotted it in just yet - only conceptually. It's another control aspect since most every bushi deck will be running clan virtues plus it will free up some of the crazy gold I go through. The problem is that I'm not sure what I'd like to take out for it because I like the balance between proactive battle and control actions right now.

Quite I'm thinking 3 Interference is a tad overkill - going to cut to 2 and bump Paid-Off to 3, I think.

Indeed he will! Also I'll have to definitely test Sudden Blockade... Becasue it looks really dumb combined with AL.

I actually don't know about KL in Bushi. It's going to be able to make gold, sure, but without Peace and Govern the Land and not being able to buy attachments or use Moneylender for them I think in Bushi AL is the better box.

You don't think Paid Off, Greasing, and Sudden Blockade plus the -2 GC reaction for other tricks are enough? I dunno... Could be a scary lock down. Toss in Firm Censure and make the rest of the actions proactive kill/bow/send home and it might be GG.
